The Foundation of Podiatric Practice Management Excellence

AAPPM LogoIn 1961, a visionary group of leading podiatrists across the United States recognized a crucial need in their profession - the establishment of a specialty association dedicated to advancing practice management education in podiatry. This led to the formation of the American Academy of Practice Management in Chiropody-Podiatry, chartered in Ohio on May 20, 1961.

From Humble Beginnings to National Impact

What began with just 41 members, primarily from the Midwest, has evolved into a nationwide network of over 1,457 practitioners and 24 corporate partners. Under the leadership of its first president, Dr. B.C. Egerter, and a dedicated board of directors, the organization laid the groundwork for what would become a cornerstone institution in podiatric practice management.

Empowering Podiatric Excellence

The AAPPM's mission extends beyond basic practice management. Through comprehensive educational programs, mentoring initiatives, and professional development resources, the academy empowers its members to become leaders in the podiatric profession. The organization serves established practitioners, new doctors, and residents alike, providing essential tools and knowledge for practice success. The Academy is also known for our robust programming for executive managers and medical assistants, who are vital to the success of the practice.

A Legacy of Leadership

Throughout its history, the AAPPM has maintained its commitment to advancing patient care and practice management principles. The organization's success stems from its dedication to sharing management expertise and fostering enhanced patient care strategies among its members. Through interactive workshops, educational resources, and networking opportunities, AAPPM continues to shape the future of podiatric practice management.
